AUREA Award: MACK One brings the future of immersive entertainment to Europa-Park
With MACK One, Europa-Park once again became an international melting pot for creative visionaries, innovative technologies and bold entrepreneurs. On 2 and 3 February 2026, Michael Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park and founder of MACK One, invited industry leaders to the resort for the eighth AUREA Award ceremony. This year’s theme was “Through the Looking Glass: Where Layered Realities Unfold”, honouring innovations that are shaping our perceptions of reality, entertainment and immersion.

Record year to celebrate anniversary: Europa-Park breaks the 7 million visitor mark
The Europa-Park Resort has achieved a new record in its 2025 anniversary year. Fifty years after opening, Germany's largest theme park exceeded the seven million visitor mark for the first time. The record number underscores the strong demand, consolidates its position as a leading tourist destination in Germany and puts it well ahead of Cologne Cathedral and the Oktoberfest, both of which can be visited free of charge.

The Winter Season to celebrate the Anniversary Year
From 29 November 2025 to 18 January 2026 (except 24/25 December), Germany’s largest theme park will once again be transformed into a magical winter wonderland, with thick snowflakes and the delicious scent of Christmas cookies filling the air. The park will be decorated with 3,500 snow-covered fir trees from the region, glittering Christmas baubles, cosy campfires and winter decorations adorning the paths of the 17 European-themed areas to enchant visitors. Christmas shows promise impressive and atmospheric entertainment for young and old alike. The new Winterland themed area adds further highlights to the sparkling celebrations in this anniversary season.

Pure relaxation at the Europa-Park Hotels
The first three months of the new year at Germany’s largest continuous hotel resort are all about well-being and enjoyment. From 19 January to 17 March 2026, Europa-Park’s own 4* superior hotels will be treating their guests to a range of exclusive offers. The Rulantica water world will also be offering plenty of highlights to kick off the year. Europa-Park named the world’s best theme park for the tenth time
On 6 September 2025, Europa-Park received the industry’s highest accolade, the ‘Golden Ticket Award’ for ‘Best Theme Park Worldwide’ for the tenth time. In its anniversary year, the family-owned company from Baden in Germany once again beat renowned competitors such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Ann-Kathrin Mack to become Managing Partner of Europa-Park
Ann-Kathrin Mack, daughter of Marianne and Roland Mack, has been appointed as an additional Managing Partner of Europa-Park. The 35-year-old architect, who has held a leading position in the company for nine years, is already responsible for the Mack Solutions/Construction Management division. In her new role as Managing Partner, she will additionally take on responsibility for the Marketing, Sales & Digital division.

Roland Mack and Michael Mack accorded with the highest honours
On 28. January 2025 at the Élysée Palace, French President Emmanuel Macron named Europa-Park founder Roland Mack ‘Officer de la Légion d’Honneur’ and Michael Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park and CEO of MACK One, ‘Knight de la Légion d’Honneur’. Only very few Germans have achieved this honour as yet. The Legion of Honour is the highest French honour.
