Record year to celebrate anniversary: Europa-Park breaks the 7 million visitor mark

January 12, 2026

The Europa-Park Resort has achieved a new record in its 2025 anniversary year. Fifty years after opening, Germany's largest theme park exceeded the seven million visitor mark for the first time. The record number underscores the strong demand, consolidates its position as a leading tourist destination in Germany and puts it well ahead of Cologne Cathedral and the Oktoberfest, both of which can be visited free of charge.

For the first time, seven million guests flocked to the Europa-Park Resort in its anniversary season.

Europa-Park owner Roland Mack: "250,000 visitors came to Europa-Park in its opening summer in 1975. Fifty years later, we set a new record with seven million guests, exceeding all our expectations for this special year. First and foremost, this is a vote of confidence from our loyal guests, who appreciate Europa-Park as a holiday destination with the Rulantica water world, Eatrenalin and our hotels, and who continue to rediscover it time and time again."

The Europa-Park Resort 2025 stimulated growth through targeted further development of its offerings and strong integration of entertainment and brand world. Milestones include the first feature film from Mack, ‘GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE’, and the interactive family attraction GRAND PRIX EDventure based on its story. An emotional highlight was the gala celebrating the resort's 50th anniversary, attended by celebrity guests, companions and friends of the owner family Mack.

The international competitiveness of the resort was once again evident in 2025. Europa-Park received the Golden Ticket Award for ‘Best Theme Park worldwide’ for the tenth time. In addition, the visit of the 150 millionth guest in November marked another historic moment in the history of the resort.

At the same time, the range of year-round activities on offer increased. The Rulantica water world was expanded to include an additional year-round relaxation area with the new outdoor pool ‘Svømmepøl’. In the area of accommodation and camping, the Europa-Park Camp Resort was expanded and developed into ‘Silver Lake City’ to create additional accommodation options directly at the resort and further increase the length of stay.

The western town will continue to grow in 2026. In addition to log cabins, covered wagons and tipis, the Riverside Western Lodge will welcome guests throughout the year featuring 119 rustic rooms. There will also be a brewery serving freshly tapped Europa-Park beer, which can be enjoyed next door in the Wild Horse Bar. Furthermore, the Principality of Monaco will shine as the 18th European themed area at Europa-Park during the summer season. Inspired by Mediterranean flair, guests can experience the country in all its facets around the Silver Star rollercoaster. There will also be plenty on offer in in the F&B area. With Sally's Café, the well-known food creator Sally is opening her first café – right in the middle of the Icelandic themed area, directly in the blue fire Dome.

The winter season at Europa-Park runs until 18 January 2026. The Rulantica water world, the Eatrenalin fine dining restaurant and the Europa-Park Resort's own 4* superior hotels are also open throughout the year and offer accommodation and experiences all year round.
