Family, care & responsibility in action
Marianne Mack combines entrepreneurship with a deep social conscience. Since the opening of Europa-Park, she has been at her husband Roland Mack's side, not only taking on commercial responsibilities, but also helping to shape the values of the MACK Group. She worked at the ticket office, did the bookkeeping in the evenings and cooked for the employees at the weekends.
Marianne Mack is passionate about helping people in difficult circumstances. By founding the charity organisation Santa Isabel e. V., she has created a platform that provides direct support to families and children in need. In 2010, she was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for her outstanding commitment.
I can't save the world, but I can make a contribution.
From the cockpit into the heart of Europa-Park
Marianne Mack was born in Freiburg in 1949 and grew up in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. After working as a flight attendant for Lufthansa, she decided to join Roland Mack in the family business when Europa-Park opened in 1975. In the early years, the young family lived in a small apartment in the middle of the park. Despite the double burden of being a mother and a family entrepreneur, she mastered these challenges with impressive dedication. As the 'rock' behind the success story of Europa-Park, she combines family, social commitment and entrepreneurial action.
Modesty, perseverance and a deep-rooted sense of social responsibility - that is what Marianne Mack stands for. Her family is everything to her. Her credo is to enrich the lives of others and give back to society. Her confident reserve makes her a key figure in the Mack family of entrepreneurs. Not only has she played a central role in the company for decades, she also acts as a mediator between the generations within the family, strengthening the bond between the generations.
Silent strength in the background
Her social commitment began early on: Through the ‘Happy Hearts ' initiative, she has enabled more than a million socially disadvantaged people to visit a park free of charge. In 2008, she founded the Santa Isabel e. V. association, which is still funded by donations and charity events such as flea markets and the 'New Perspectives' lecture series. The charity flea market is her personal passion project - she helps organise every detail.
Another focus is on supporting clinics such as Katharinenhöhe, a family-oriented cancer aftercare clinic, as well as hospices, palliative care units and individual emergency aid in cases of serious illness. The aim is always to provide fast, direct and humane help.
Every house needs a strong foundation - ours is built on compassion.

Happy Hearts
With the Happy Hearts initiative, Marianne Mack provides socially disadvantaged people with a carefree day at Europa-Park. Children, families and people with disabilities are given the opportunity to escape from their everyday lives and enjoy unforgettable experiences together. Since its inception, the campaign has brought smiles to thousands of visitors and shows that small gestures often have a big impact.

Volunteer lecture series ‘New Perspectives’
Since 2005, Marianne Mack has been organising the volunteer lecture series 'New Perspectives', featuring inspiring speakers who provide food for thought and encourage people to think outside the box. All proceeds go towards charitable projects and support for families in need. With up to 1,000 people attending each event, the series has become a successful fundraising format that combines education, community and social responsibility.
