Finance, human resources & entrepreneurial foresight
Jürgen Mack is the level-headed strategic force behind the success of the Europa-Park Resort. As managing partner, he oversees finance, human resources, auditing, controlling and retail & games. Focusing on long-term stability and sustainable growth, he has earned the reputation of being the ‘Minister of the Interior’ of the MACK Group.
His analytical and precise approach, coupled with his commitment to the family business, has laid the foundation for the resort's continuous expansion. He also actively promotes German-French co-operation and cultural education projects. In 2022, he received the prestigious French award 'Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques' in recognition of his commitment.
Our long family history is characterised by change and a constant willingness to reinvent ourselves. This requires us to be in close proximity to our products, clients and, of course, guests.
Family tradition & economic foresight
Jürgen Mack was born in Freiburg in 1958, the second son of Europa-Park founder Franz Mack and grew up in Waldkirch. He developed a passion for technology and entrepreneurship from an early age, honing his skills in the MACK Rides workshop and on trips to international theme parks. After studying industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, he joined the Europa-Park management team in 1986. Since then, he has played a decisive role in shaping the growth of the family business, thanks to his clear vision of business management and his ability to develop efficient processes.
Taking social responsibility – getting close to the people
For Jürgen Mack, social commitment is an integral part of doing business. As a family entrepreneur with deep roots in the region, he is personally committed to providing concrete and sustainable support where it is needed. He has been involved in social projects in the Ortenau district for many years, working with Caritas to provide quick and effective support to people in difficult life situations. He is also an active member of Rotary Club Lahr, recognising that responsibility extends beyond one's own company.
Another focus of his commitment lies in the church. As a member of the management board, he is responsible for the church at Europa-Park, which is run in close co-operation with the Catholic and Protestant churches. Under his leadership, a space has been created where Christian values can be experienced and integrated into everyday life at Europa-Park through church services, meetings and ecumenical events. Examples of this commitment include supporting the large-scale voluntary musical project ‘Weihnachten neu erleben’ in Karlsruhe, which reached thousands of people beyond the region, and supporting the nationwide 72-hour campaign organised by the BDKJ.
Jürgen Mack's work demonstrates that entrepreneurship is inextricably linked to a social attitude characterised by down-to-earthness, responsibility, and a desire to contribute to society.
Employees are the key to success
For Jürgen Mack, one thing is clear: Europa-Park succeeds thanks to the people who help shape it every day. Their attitude, commitment and teamwork influence both the guest experience and the company's distinctive character. As a family entrepreneur, Jürgen Mack prioritises creating an environment in which employees perform well, feel comfortable, develop and are fully committed to their work.
His approach is founded on values such as reliability, mutual respect and responsibility. These values shape both everyday interactions and the long-term orientation of the family business.
Jürgen Mack is committed to recognising and rewarding performance, encouraging effective teamwork and fostering an open, honest culture with the shared aim of improving day by day.
He is driven by the belief that economic success and a positive working environment are inextricably linked. After all, it is only in an environment where people enjoy working that a place can be created that inspires guests.
Financial stability & steady growth
Jürgen Mack has played a key role in ensuring that Europa-Park is on a sound financial footing. Through prudent investment and careful management of the family-owned company's financial resources, he has laid a solid foundation for the continued growth of the Europa-Park Resort.
His decisions strike a healthy balance between innovation and financial security, ensuring the company's stability for future generations.
We want to pass on our values from generation to generation, while of course adapting them to the times. With the eighth generation now playing an active role in the business of the Europa-Park Resort, we are in a strong position for the future.

Building bridges - commitment to Franco-German friendship
He firmly believes in cross-border co-operation with France. For decades, he has been involved in cultural and economic projects that encourage exchange between the two countries. In 2022, his achievements were recognised with the title of Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques, one of France's highest honours for services to education and culture. He was also made an honorary citizen of the French town of Sélestat in 2011.
