From passion to profession

Katja Mack discovered her passion for live performance at an early age. In addition to her training as a performer, her areas of expertise include directing, the performing arts, casting and show production. She also possesses expertise in entrepreneurship, leadership, coaching and business development. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Education and a Master of Arts in Theatre and Event Direction, she has completed the Entrepreneurship Essentials programme at Harvard Business School Online and obtained a certification in Event Management (IHK).

Furthermore, she has gained valuable experience at theme parks worldwide, including Gardaland (Italy), Morey’s Piers Park (USA) and Blackpool Pleasure Beach (UK).

Her vision of creating a place where artistic and sporting activities merge led to the founding of the TALENT ACADEMY in 2014.

The Talent Foundation e.V., which she founded in 2017, provides financial support to ambitious members of the TALENT ACADEMY and enables them to take part in national and international competitions, workshops and further training.

In 2023, Katja Mack served as a Creative Collective Member of the Board at the Dragone Group – a leading international company specialising in the development and production of spectacular live show formats – where she contributed her artistic expertise and strategic creative consultancy.

In addition, she served as a member of the IAAPA Entertainment Taskforce in 2025. In this role, she supported the selection and preparation of speakers for the IAAPA event in Orlando (USA), ensured the quality of content and provided strategic guidance to embed current trends and best practices sustainably within the industry – including as a speaker at IAAPA events.

Her international commitment is underlined by her work as a judge at renowned circus festivals and at globally significant award ceremonies in the entertainment industry. These include the IAAPA Honors, the China International Circus Festival in Zhuhai, the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo in Monaco and the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris.

TALENT ACADEMY: A space for creativity and inspiration

The TALENT ACADEMY Europa-Park was founded in 2014 by Katja Mack and has since established itself as one of Germany’s leading institutions for nurturing young artistic talent.

With over 2,000 square metres of floor space and eight modern, professionally equipped studios, the academy provides the ideal conditions for a diverse and high-quality range of courses, all under one roof. More than 150 courses in the fields of dance, acrobatics, music, art and mindset take place every week. Over 30 internationally experienced, highly qualified coaches support members on their individual creative journeys.

Goal-oriented training is one of the institution’s key characteristics. In addition to its regular course programme, the Academy offers its members a wide range of opportunities to gain valuable stage experience. Furthermore, the TALENT ACADEMY organises its own events and workshops and successfully participates in national and international competitions and circus festivals.

Members have also gained extensive experience in front of the camera in TV productions, for example at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, 'Superkids', 'Das Supertalent', 'Spain’s Got Talent', 'Romania’s Got Talent', 'Little Big Stars' and many more. Furthermore, a 13-year-old acting member of the TALENT ACADEMY took on one of the leading roles in the 29th season of the KiKA series 'Schloss Einstein'.

These performances and experiences not only enhance artistic quality but also boost self-confidence, team spirit and personal expressiveness.

With its holistic approach, which combines artistic and creative training, personal development and professional stage experience, the TALENT ACADEMY offers both young people and adults a unique platform to discover their potential, develop it in a targeted manner and showcase it at the highest level.
