German-Croatian Exchange at Europa-Park

June 20, 2024

A school class from the Croatian island of Hvar met with 20 8th grade students from the Rust primary and community school to discuss Croatian and German inventions and culture. Croatian content creator Andro Anic also took part in the exchange. The students were able to present the important achievements of their country in the form of pictures they painted themselves, at the family exhibition ‘Croation Inspiration’.

The Hvar students spent three days at Europa-Park at the invitation of the Mack family and were able to get to know German culture better, explore the new Croatian themed area, discover the over 100 attractions and shows of Germany's largest theme park and experience the Rulantica water world. After the exchange with the students from Rust, they took an exclusive look behind the scenes of Europa-Park and learned about other European countries as part of a quiz, which features facts about Croatian inventions and inventors as well.

Miriam Mack: “To be able to bring our worldwide visitors closer to my parents’ home country with the new Croatian themed area is a matter very dear to my heart. It is also great to see the reactions of our Croatian visitors, when they see the way we present their diverse culture, history and cuisine here at Europa-Park. The feedback about the theming, our exhibition ‘Croatian Inspiration’ and the new rollercoaster ‘Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac’ has been phenomenal.”
