Monaco themed area opens at Europa-Park

March 25, 2026

As the 2026 season gets under way, Europa-Park unveils its new Monaco themed area. A host of new details, activities and attractions have been developed in collaboration with the Principality of Monaco, centred around Silver Star, Germany’s tallest rollercoaster.

Inspired by the legendary atmosphere of the Monaco Grand Prix, the 18th European-themed area at Germany’s largest theme park showcases the many facets that contribute to the Principality’s global reputation: iconic buildings, the famous casino, marinas, Mediterranean landscapes, culture, gastronomy and picturesque alleyways.
Here’s what you can expect from the Monaco themed area
Even the new entrance area, with its Mediterranean charm, is an ideal place for visitors to relax and unwind. On their way to the 73-metre-high Silver Star rollercoaster, visitors now pass through an exotic garden inspired by the Jardin Exotique in the Principality of Monaco.

The interior of the Silver Star Hall has been completely redesigned. Its numerous intricate façades and authentic decorations evoke the unique ambience of Monaco. Visitors can experience the Principality up close in a variety of areas, including an immersive digital aquarium that takes guests on an interactive journey into the depths of the Mediterranean. Meanwhile, racing simulators allow visitors of all ages to become virtual racing drivers and experience the thrill of the original Grand Prix circuit. A high-calibre exhibition of race cars, featuring items on loan from the private collection of HSH Prince Albert II, is also not to be missed. Visitors will also have the chance to check out an original racing suit belonging to Monegasque Formula 1 runner-up Charles Leclerc, amongst other things.  In keeping with the racing theme, the waiting area and the Silver Star station have also been given a makeover, before visitors set off onto the track at speeds of up to 130 km/h. The new Café de Paris invites visitors to enjoy delicious appetisers and sweet pastries at their leisure.

Collaboration with Monaco

Millions of visitors to Europa-Park can now learn more about the Principality and, at the same time, discover Monaco as a destination with a unique history and way of life. The close partnership with the Principality, which began right from the development of the concept, creates an authentic connection, offering cultural insights and allowing visitors to experience Monaco on an emotional level, right here in the German town of Rust. Last winter, guests were already delighted by the Monte Carlo Circus Festival meets Europa-Park show, which was produced in close collaboration with the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival.

Roland Mack, owner of Europa-Park, commented: ‘I am delighted about this exceptionally positive and valuable collaboration with the Princely House and Prince Albert. Monaco is one of the most fascinating countries in Europe. Our visitors can look forward to a wide range of attractions linked to the Principality, as well as the newly enhanced visitor experience in the area around the Silver Star.’

Guy Antognelli, Director of Tourism for Monaco, remarks: ‘The Principality of Monaco is delighted to be the 18th European country represented at Europa-Park. Visitors will gain an insight into the history of the Principality, as well as the diverse range of events that characterise Monaco throughout the year and make it such a special destination. The themed area showcases what makes Monaco unique by bringing together a variety of sectors, including sport, culture, business, gastronomy, lifestyle, innovation, and sustainability, all in one place.’
