New attractions galore for Halloween at Europa-Park Resort

Halloween just got even better at Europa-Park
This year, Europa-Park is thrilling visitors with a major Halloween upgrade: The park is being transformed into a magical world with lots of new decorations and atmospheric lighting displays, from the entrance area right through to the themed areas. The autumnal Pumpkin Village in the German themed area features market huts and a wide range of attractions for visitors to explore, all centred around this eerily beautiful time of year. In the castle garden, the Magic Forest enchants guests with fascinating light installations, whilst the Trick or Treat – Funfair Presented by JUNIOR CLUB in the Austrian themed area offers young guests a colourful Halloween experience with a wide variety of funfair-themed activities. In the Croatian themed area, Pumpkin Boulevard showcases the artistic side of pumpkins, surprising visitors with unique works and creative installations centred on this Halloween icon.

For more than 25 years, mysterious figures have roamed Germany’s largest theme park in autumn, surrounded by 180,000 pumpkins from the region, 15,000 chrysanthemums, 6,000 corn plants, 3,000 straw bales and more than 100,000 autumn flowers. Thick cobwebs and eerie music complete the Halloween atmosphere.

Adrenaline-fuelled thrills
The 18 European themed areas offer fun for all the family this autumn too. For example, visitors can discover the Croatian themed area featuring the multi-launch coaster Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac. The rollercoaster winds its way through an authentic Croatian landscape with plenty of innovative ride elements, including seven inversions. New for this year, the glamorous Principality of Monaco is wowing visitors with a unique exhibition brimming with elegance, motorsport history and Riviera glamour. Another new addition for 2026 is Sallys Café in the Iceland themed area, which tempts visitors with sweet treats and café specialities.

Daring adventurers aged twelve and over looking for a thrill will love the Day Maze located next to the Poseidon water rollercoaster. In this haunted house, terrifying actors lurk in the shadows, ready to send shivers down visitors’ spines. To celebrate Halloween, the ‘Koffiekopjes’ spinning teacups ride will be transformed into creepy ‘Griezelkopjes’ with lightning effects and spooky music, making the ride a truly special, scary experience. Spooky decorations also transform the fast-paced Spanish carriage carousel Feria Swing into a terrifying Flight of the Vampires. At the Castello dei Medici, guests are taken on gondola rides through the haunted castle all year round, complete with ghostly voices and spooky figures.  

Spookily delicious food and drink
If you’re feeling hungry after all the action-packed rides and scares, the park’s food and drink outlets offer the perfect refreshment with tried-and-tested classics and spookily delicious new creations. The Halloween classics are a must, of course: Creamy pumpkin soup is available to warm you up in all the restaurants and snack bars.

At the Rock Café and The O’Mackay’s, the Halloween chicken burger is sure to hit the spot. At the Pumpkin Village autumn market, you’ll find baked potato doughnuts – savoury with Arizona Ranch sauce or sweet with Nutella – as well as delicious, sweet crumbles with plum compote. Other classics such as chilli con carne, Halloween salmon and the vampire hot dog are also back on the menu for this wonderfully spooky time of year.

And the Halloween spirit has also taken hold at the French Bakery: Guests can enjoy delicious new treats, fresh from the oven and made with plenty of love and a pinch of Halloween magic.

Fun Halloween specials 
This autumn, Europa-Park has a spooky yet beautiful show programme in store for the whole family. The new shows ‘The Dark Wedding’ at the Europa-Park Teatro and ‘Venezia Macabra’ on the Italian open-air stage, the lavishly staged ice show ‘Surpr’Ice presents The Vampire Circus on Ice’ and other captivating performances by spooky creatures provide top-class entertainment several times a day. Whether dancing skeletons, mysterious witches or other sinister figures, goosebumps are guaranteed here.

‘Traumatica’ – 20 years of horror, 10 years of the Festival of Fear
The award-winning horror event ‘Traumatica – Festival of Fear’ is celebrating a major anniversary this season: 20 years of HORROR – 10 years of Traumatica! From 23. September to 7. November, eight horror attractions and terrifying performers and artists are sure to bring unforgettable nightmares. In addition to the scare attractions, selected rides are also open as VR experiences.

As a special anniversary highlight, the Vampire’s Club is open exclusively on selected dates, inviting guests to the Dance of the Dead from 11pm – featuring fiery show highlights and special guest Marc Terenzi, who will be joining guests in celebrating 20 years of Horror Nights and Traumatica. Starting 8. October, the club venue The Forbidden is open every Friday and Saturday from 11pm for a dance in the underworld. And if you’re looking for the ultimate experience grab the Psycho Pass with exclusive extras including the new immersive full-contact experience, The Hotel.

SWR3 Halloween party
Watch out, night-time ghosts and vampires! On 31. October, Germany’s biggest Halloween party will return to Europa-Park. From 8pm to 2am, there will be groovy live music, top-class DJs and star act Jaden Bojsen at the Europa-Park Confertainment Centre to get everyone dancing. Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of fruity cocktails, refreshing long drinks and delicious snacks.

Sliding fun and oases of tranquillity
Visitors to Rulantica water world can also enjoy some special Halloween surprises and fun Halloween decorations. The outdoor area is awash with the colours of autumn, with skeletons, pumpkins, corn stalks and straw bales creating a scene that is truly autumnal, while children can enjoy the spooky and beautiful animations. In the evening, the atmosphere at the swim-up bar in Frigg Tempel really heats up with DJ beats. Refreshments are provided in the form of autumnal delicacies.

Rulantica has plenty of slides, pools and other attractions in store for all water lovers. Europe’s largest speed slide, Vikingløp, guarantees plenty of thrills. Guests can race each other down eight tubes while lying on mats. There’s also plenty of action outdoors, with water fun guaranteed in the rushing Vildstrøm river. The heated Svømmepøl, with its huge water area and lots of mystical Nordic details, also offers pure water fun. Guests can enjoy delicious non-alcoholic drinks, cold beer and sophisticated cocktails at the Svømme Bar.

Visitors can also relax in the Hyggedal sauna and wellness area, which can be booked separately. A variety of infusions and an extensive pampering programme await in this 1,000 m² space. In addition to three textile-free saunas, the textile-free Damp Huset steam bath offers a wonderful feel-good experience on cool autumn days. Entry to Hyggedal is permitted for visitors aged 16 and over, whilst the relaxation area is open to those aged 12 and over. The optional day suites provide a particularly autumnal experience.

Eatrenalin – new dimensions of dining
At the Eatrenalin fine dining experience, guests can experience an exciting journey for the senses. This Michelin-starred restaurant offers a unique combination of high-quality cuisine and visual, acoustic and tactile experiences. At the heart of Eatrenalin is the Floating Chair, an innovative ride system from MACK Rides that allows guests to float through the different culinary worlds. In addition, Eatrenalin Late Night is offered on selected dates, providing a 90-minute, multi-sensory journey through fascinating worlds of cocktails, accompanied by first-class live acts to delight all the senses. After the experience, guests can celebrate an unforgettable night with DJ beats in the bar.

Europa-Park Hotels: Magical autumn nights
After a day full of unforgettable moments, the park’s autumnal decorated hotels offer the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Visitors can enjoy wonderful moments in the lovingly themed worlds of the 4* (superior) themed hotels – from Scandinavian landscapes to the deep south and young America. New this year, the Riverside Western Lodge in Silver Lake City delights adventure enthusiasts with its authentic Wild West atmosphere. In addition, the adventurous Silver Lake City offers Western Houses, Camping and Caravaning, as well as numerous leisure activities.
