Europa-Park begins a new season
As the flowers start to bloom once more, everything rises from hibernation to the smell of spring, and anticipation for Germany's largest theme park. On 25th March 2023, Europa-Park opens its doors once again for its 49th season, with over 100 attractions and shows across 15 lovingly-designed European themed areas. Great fun for all ages, everyone will find something that suits them at Europa-Park, with spectacular rollercoasters, impressive shows and family-friendly attractions. A visit can turn into an unforgettable short break with a stay at the six park-owned 4* themed hotels or the Camp Resort.
The 15 European themed areas invite visitors on an unmistakable tour of discovery with traditional-style architecture, cuisine and a great attention to detail. Visitors can now enjoy those first rays of sunshine on a romantic boat ride in the Austrian themed area with ‘Josefina's Magical Imperial Journey’, where the new boats for this majestic voyage shine with an imperial splendour.
A fun way to cool off is guaranteed at Europa-Park with ‘Fjord Rafting’ or the ‘Tirol Log Flume’. For visitors looking to go a little faster, the ‘blue fire Megacoaster’ provides a breath of fresh air at 100 km/h. Following a rapid, 40-metre-high ride on the wooden rollercoaster ‘WODAN - Timburcoaster’, bigger visitors can take their little ones to the nearby ‘Lítill Island - Hansgrohe Water Playground’.
Even more of that holiday feeling can be found at the Rulantica water world. Add a bit of competition to the sliding fun in the new ‘Nordiskturn’ area, where guests can have an exciting 187-metre race on the 8-tube mat slide ‘Vikingløp’.
Action is inevitable at Rulantica, with numerous slides, a huge wave pool, wild river and much more to ensure plenty of water fun. Since summer 2022, the interactive water carousel ‘Tønnevirvel’ has offered a new way for the whole family to get some refreshment.
For those longing for a spot of relaxation among the action, there is the exclusive relaxation and sauna area ‘Hyggedal’.
Fans of virtual reality will also find what they’re looking for at the Europa-Park Resort. During the new YULLBE PRO Experience ‘Amber Blake: Operation Dragonfly’, guests can experience an interactive 3D action thriller. The 30-minute Virtual Reality Experience is based on the ‘Amber Blake’ comic series from Belgian supermodel Jade Lagardère and features thrilling state-of-the-art technology and a nerve-wracking adventure across Singapore’s skyline. Participants take on a secret mission alongside badass agent Amber Blake, where strong nerves, as well as skill and team spirit, are required to bring down the mysterious criminal Blue Dragon.
An absolute highlight can be found at ‘Eatrenalin’, the futuristic gastronomic experience for all senses. As soon as the experience begins, visitors are immersed in different worlds, and not just with scents and tastes, but also haptics, acoustics and visuals. The ‘Restaurant of the Future’ is a firework for the senses, made possible by the impressive interplay of multimedia content, top-class gastronomy and a patented new development called the Floating Chair from Mack Rides. Guests are spoiled with an eight-course menu. The kitchen combines modern and international influences with the respective ambiences of the scenery in each of the various worlds of enjoyment.
Following a visit to the worldwide innovation Eatrenalin, guests can finish their visit in the luxury of the new ‘Krønasår Boutique Suites’. Four of the eleven suites feature a futuristic furnishing style based on Eatrenalin. A highlight of the interior design is the rotating beds, produced at the parent company Mack Rides from Waldkirch. The seven other suites take guests to the far north. Unforgettable moments are ensured with direct ground floor access to the new 160-square-metre infinity pool.
After a day at Europa-Park or the Rulantica water world, visitors can escape from everyday life and unwind at the six 4* superior themed hotels of the Europa-Park Resort and Camp Resort. Featuring a detailed ambience, visitors can enjoy 'la dolce vita', follow in the footsteps of the Pilgrim Fathers or go on a journey of discovery in the museum hotel.
