Europa-Park builds new Western town ‘Silver Lake City’

March 13, 2025

The Wild West comes to life in Rust: Europa-Park is planning a spectacular extension of its previous Camp Resort, which will become the Western town ‘Silver Lake City’. By 2026, an authentic experience area will be developed to immerse the guests into the fascinating world of the Wild West. “That’s what the whole area is called which will be a fantastic adventure world with a complete feel of the Wild West”, explains Europa-Park owner Roland Mack.

What began more than two decades ago as a modest village of tipi tents will now be expanded into a fully-fledged western town. Covered wagons, log cabins, tipi tents and campfire sites are already delighting guests today. In the years to come, the authentic offerings will be further developed.

A unique Western experience with new infrastructure
The additional Western Houses (block huts), new comfortable caravan pitches, as well as a new carpark offering 580 places and a new access road complete with a new Western Street with house fronts opposite, will already expand the guest experience in 2025 considerably. A new adventure play area in the form of a train, as well as a minigolf course ─ naturally fitting in with the Western look ─ provides young and old with further fun activities in Silver Lake City.

From summer 2025, the highlight of the new Western town is the ‘Diner Station’ buffet restaurant, which is furnished like an old Western railway station – including an authentic train.

Core to the expansion is a new guest house, in the style of the American West, which awaits visitors from 2026 with more than 100 rooms.

Additionally in 2026, a brewery will be moving in and will offer its own Europa-Park beer – to be enjoyed in the ‘Wild Horse Bar’ next door. Moreover, state-of-the-art technology can be experienced through the integration of YULLBE GO.

Campfire sites, a lake to swim in and a mock Western Street are already providing an outdoor Western feel today. From 2026, with the expansion completed, more than 2,000 guests will be able to stay overnight in Silver Lake City – at present, it stands at over 1,400. Overnight accommodation options will then range from tents or your own caravans to log cabins, tipi tents and covered wagons to a comfortable guest house.

To accommodate the increasing number of visitors, a total of approximately 700 new parking spaces will be developed as part of the construction work. These comprehensive investments into infrastructure underline the longstanding vision of Europa-Park to offer its guests unforgettable experiences in a unique setting. Europa-Park’s Silver Lake City will become a new milestone in the resort’s history, promising adventure, recreation and entertainment for all the family. The joy in waiting for an authentic Western adventure is already great in Rust.

A place for adventure and recreation
With the expansion, Silver Lake City is becoming a place for families and children in need. The new children’s retreat ‘Little Heroes’ will be built in 2026 in close collaboration with the ‘RTL Foundation – We help children e.V.’. There, children recovering from cancer and their families will receive a carefree break free of charge amidst the Western atmosphere. Swiss musician and international star DJ BoBo has taken on sponsorship of the new home.
