Culinary delights in the name of friendship
Situated in the heart of the Alsatian countryside, Amitié - La Cuisine du Château combines sophisticated bistro cuisine with sustainability. The Mack family has lovingly restored the historic 1900 building and created a place where charcoal-grilled specialities, seasonal dishes made from the family's own produce and exquisite wines from Château Ollwiller are combined in a tribute to Franco-German friendship.
Amitié – La Cuisine du Château is more than just a restaurant – it is a place where Franco-German friendship is lived and cultivated.
Regional cuisine & sustainability
In 2020, the Mack family acquired the traditional Château Ollwiller near Colmar. At its entrance stands a charming building dating from 1900, which was extensively renovated and reopened in 2024 as the restaurant 'Amitié - La Cuisine du Château'. The aim was to create a place where Franco-German friendship could be experienced in more than just culinary terms. During the restoration, care was taken to preserve the historic architecture while incorporating modern elements.
Sustainability and regionalism are key. The restaurant sources organic ingredients from its own garden, 'Chez Marianne', which is cultivated according to permaculture principles. This natural form of agriculture promotes healthy soil and biodiversity. The garden supplies not only Amitié, but also the two-star restaurant Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant and the fine dining experience Eatrenalin at the Europa-Park Resort. This approach underlines the Mack family's commitment to responsible gastronomy with short delivery distances and regional partnerships.
