VR Coaster: Virtual Reality for the leisure industry

Rides that make the world go round

VR Coaster is a world leader in the development and implementation of virtual reality experiences for theme parks, hotel resorts, cruise ships and entertainment venues. Whether on rides, underwater or in free-roaming experiences, VR Coaster takes immersive entertainment to a new level. What began as a visionary project in 2014 is now an internationally successful technology that has captivated millions of visitors worldwide.

Together with its sparring partners in the MACK Group, VR Coaster GmbH & Co. KG continues to develop new concepts beyond rollercoasters and freefall towers, such as the interactive free-roaming VR platform YULLBE, VR on bumper cars or integrated into the innovative Flowryde.

With VR Coaster we have created a whole new dimension of immersive entertainment. The combination of real motion and the virtual world opens countless possibilities for theme parks and adventure worlds.

From an idea to a global innovation

The success story of VR Coaster began in 2014, when Prof. Thomas Wagner from the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern, recognised the potential of virtual reality technology to revolutionise theme parks.

VR Coaster was founded in 2015 in collaboration with Michael Mack, and the first VR Coaster attraction, Alpenexpress Coastiality, was launched.

But VR Coaster is now much more than just rollercoasters: Today, the company also offers groundbreaking solutions for water attractions and interactive VR worlds for exhibitions.

VR Coaster's projects have received numerous prestigious awards from the theme park industry, including multiple IAAPA Brass Ring Awards and the German Computer Games Prize.

Virtual Reality beyond the rollercoaster

VR Coaster sets innovative standards, even away from the tracks of a ride!
Xperience ONE is the link between these developments. It is a cloud-based platform that enables VR Coaster to manage content, hardware, user statistics, and remote maintenance across YULLBE, COASTIALITY, and all other types of attraction.

Immerse yourself in new dimensions with underwater VR

With the Diving Theatre and Swim VR headsets, VR Coaster brings virtual reality directly into the water for the first time. While the Diving Theatre offers an action-packed VR experience for up to four people at a time with a powerful counter-current system, bubble effects and underwater sounds, the Swim VR headsets can transform any simple non-swimmer's pool into a tropical coral reef.

YULLBE – free movement in virtual worlds

The YULLBE GO system is an easy-to-use, highly flexible, free-roaming VR attraction that allows up to 60 guests per hour to experience exciting VR adventures in a compact space. With a scalable footprint, it can be adapted to any location - ideal for theme parks and cruise ships.

ROAM & RIDE

With ROAM & RIDE, the VR experience starts in the queue. Guests don the VR goggles in the pre-show area and remain in the virtual world as they enter the attraction. The rollercoaster train appears as a spaceship, carriage or flying dragon, seamlessly integrated into the VR world for a more immersive experience and significantly faster boarding.

ROAM & RIDE can be experienced at Eurosat Coastiality in Europa-Park.
