Europa-Park: Germany's largest theme park

Innovation, emotion & boundless experiences

Europa-Park is the heart of the MACK Group and has developed into one of Europe's leading leisure destinations since its opening in 1975. Roland Mack, Managing Partner and co-founder, and the entire entrepreneurial family have continuously developed the park into one of the best theme parks in the world.

Covering 95 hectares, Europa-Park offers more than 100 attractions, 17 European themed areas and a diverse show programme - a place where adrenaline, entertainment and European culture come together in a unique way. In 2024, Europa-Park was named 'Best Theme Park in the World' at the Golden Ticket Awards for the ninth time.

Europa-Park is a place where dreams come true and the boundaries between fantasy and reality become blurred.

From vision to a theme park of superlatives

The success story started with a bold decision: In 1975, Franz and Roland Mack founded Europa-Park as a showcase for the rides of their own company, MACK Rides. Inspired by a trip to the United States, they recognised the potential of a theme park as a place full of experiences and emotions. What began as an exhibition of theme park rides is now Germany's largest theme park and one of the most visited theme parks in the world.

Europe in a day
The European theme is at the heart of the park and was introduced in 1982 with the Italian themed area. Now, from Greece to France to Croatia, there are countless European themed areas that invite you to travel across the continent. Authentic architecture, local cuisine and authentic experiences make each themed area a world of its own.

Rollercoasters, shows and immersive experiences

With iconic attractions such as Silver Star, blue fire Megacoaster and Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, which opened in 2024, Europa-Park thrills adrenaline seekers from all over the world. But the park goes far beyond classic rides: Interactive dark rides like GRAND PRIX EDventure, the themed ride Pirates in Batavia or virtual reality experiences like Coastiality combine technology with innovative storytelling.

The show programme also sets new standards: Around 23 hours of shows every day - from the ice show and acrobatics to elaborate stage shows, our own musicals and a circus revue - make Europa-Park a multifaceted experience for all age groups.

Europe is celebrated at Europa-Park not only thematically, but also through numerous festivals: The Swiss Festival, the celebration of German Unity, Alsace Day and many other events bring European traditions to life.

Europe's culinary diversity is also reflected in the park's gastronomy. From French crêpes to Spanish tapas and Greek specialities - themed restaurants and snack bars offer authentic delights.

At Europa-Park, guests can enjoy a wide range of shopping experiences, from small souvenirs to fashion items, accessories and sweet treats. Highlights include Europa-Park Monopoly and limited-edition products from Coca-Cola, Camp David and Leonardo, which make the shopping experience unique and offer the perfect souvenirs to take home!

Whether it's spring, summer or the magical winter season, Europa-Park offers unique events all year round. Seasonal highlights such as Halloween, HALLOWinter or Winter Magic round off the year.
For the Halloween season, Europa-Park is decorated in an autumnal style - with numerous pumpkins, corn perennials and much more.

Experience virtual reality in a new way

Over the years, Europa-Park has created many iconic attractions for the whole family. It was the first theme park to incorporate VR experiences into its attractions. Thanks to 'Coastiality', visitors can enjoy two rollercoasters — Alpine Express 'Enzian' and Eurosat —CanCan Coaster — one real and one virtual.
These forward-thinking concepts are another example of the MACK Group's innovative spirit and make Europa-Park a pioneer in the theme park industry.
